Hot Dog Stew Recipe Serves 6 to 8 people.

1 lb. of hot-dogs, cut into 1/4 inch. rounds
1 lb of Gouveas Sausage, cut into 1/4 inch. rounds
4 or 5 potatoes, cubed
3 or 4 carrots, cut into 1/4 inch. rounds
1 large onion, chopped
1 (28oz) can tomato sauce
Water to cover

Put all ingredients in a pan. Add enough water to cover, bring to a boil. Lower the heat to medium. Simmer for 45 to 50 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.

Chick Peas & Gouveas Recipe

1/2 lb. of chick peas
1/4 lb. of Gouveas Sausage, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 medium onion, chopped
1 and 1/2 tsp. of salt
1 tbsp. of vinegar

Wash the peas and soak overnight in cold water enough to cover the peas.

Drain the peas and pour them in a pan, cover with water, add the sausage along with the rest of the ingredients. Bring all of this to a boil, reduce to low heat and cook for 3 hours.


Portuguese Sausage Stuffing

1 6 oz. Gouveas Portuguese Sausage, sliced
2 boxes stuffing mix
1 onion chopped
1/2 apple, chopped (optional)
Other Options: celery, chestnuts, carrots

Brown sausage, add onion and cook until limp - drain grease. Add optional items. Follow directions for making stuffing and add sausage mixutre. Bake 30 minutes at 350°

Fast Bean Soup

1 6 oz. Gouveas Portuguese Sausage, sliced
2 cans prepared bean soup
2 cans water
1/2 onion chopped
2 cups mixed frozen vegetables

Brown sliced sausage, add onions and cook until limp - drain grease. Add soup, water and vegetables and simmer 10-15 minutes. Serves 3-4 people. A great fast meal!
